RE: [Release] Backup (formerly XBMC Backup) - brtani - 2018-01-06 I have problem with backup, in the settings I set-up to backup everything, but when I look to the backup folder, add-ons, add-ons data, funart... are not backup, just database and configuration files. I uninstalled add-on several times. Where's the problem? Thanks Kodi 17.6 on Android. RE: [Release] Backup (formerly XBMC Backup) - DarrenHill - 2018-01-06 In the add-on settings you can set additional folders to back up. Use those to back up the other bits. RE: [Release] Backup (formerly XBMC Backup) - maxenric - 2018-01-13 Does this work with 18 uwp version? [Release] Backup (formerly XBMC Backup) - iMak - 2018-01-13 I have about 1500 movies perfectly scraped with all the artworks, what is the best option to choose in the add-on settings to restore everything upon restoration? RE: [Release] Backup (formerly XBMC Backup) - xDetoursx - 2018-01-21 Hi, I'm trying to backup from a Windows 8.1 machine x64(17.6) to a Windows 7 machine x32 (17.6) and keep getting a failure on restore. The backup process went fine and the backup path is pointed to the desktop of the Windows 7 machine where the .zip file is located. Here's a log that includes the error. Thanks https://pastebin.com/amzK7Gix RE: [Release] Backup (formerly XBMC Backup) - MatzeMuc86 - 2018-01-21 Hello, I tried to activate the Backup Addon to store the data on my NAS but get an error mesage. Checking the log file does not tell me what is going wrong. I hope you can help me. Thank you and best MatzeMuc86
RE: [Release] Backup (formerly XBMC Backup) - Klojum - 2018-01-21 @MatzeMuc86 Please next time use https://pastebin.com or similar text upload website. It unburdens our forum server and is easier to read. Also always provide the FULL log file, errors/bugs can start at at moment. RE: [Release] Backup (formerly XBMC Backup) - jackyaz - 2018-01-30 Sorry if this has been covered already, but is there a way to utilise Backup add-on as a "sync" between devices? E.g. Device 1 runs backup in backup mode, devcies 2,3,4 run backup in download mode, and download/restore the backup as and when it's changed? RE: [Release] Backup (formerly XBMC Backup) - kaybird - 2018-02-03 One question and one issue I would like to get some help with please: 1- In the backup options, the second entry "Add-on data" is unchecked by default. Is that because this is not needed and can be restored by the add-on after a restore, in which case it is not mandatory for a full recovery and therefore disabled to save space and time on a backup? Or is it required if we wish to be able to do a full recovery and get back to where we were? If its not really necessary, as the default setting of Disabled would seem to imply, then I don't want to be taking the extra time and storage space and will keep it off. But if having it disabled means not being able to do a full recovery, or a much more difficult one, then I guess I will turn it to Enabled. 2- When using the Browse Path function to pick the location where to store the backup, the NFS option is not working correctly for me. I choose NFS and then get a little spinner and nothing happens. This happens elsewhere in Kodi (beyond just the Backup add-on) so that doesn't surprise me. However in other places I can then click on the "nfs://" that it leaves me after selecting NFS and then manually entire my IP and path which then works. However with this Add-on I cannot edit the "nfs://" default it puts in there. If I try to click on it to edit it it just does the spinner and nothing again. How can I edit it so that it points to the right path so I can back up to my PC folder? Even if it means manually editing the setting in some XML file? Otherwise I am stuck backing up to USB. Thank you for this super-handy add-on! RE: [Release] Backup (formerly XBMC Backup) - keiron99 - 2018-02-07 I've got Kodi on a Raspberry Pi (actually, it's LibreElec but that shouldn't matter). I installed the Backup addon on my Pi and backed up to a USB. On my Amazon Fire TV (2nd gen), I also installed the backup addon. I plugged in the USB stick and I get a pop up telling me that it's been recognized. Now, when I open the addon and choose "Restore", a panel pops up with the name "Backup - Backup Folder Name" but there's nothing in there to select. I thought it should show the file on the USB stick? RE: [Release] Backup (formerly XBMC Backup) - ZERO <ibis> - 2018-04-05 When you try to restore a backup and the backups are stored on a remote SMB location the backup zip file fails to be copied to the cache directory. When viewing the logs you can see the target has double / for every place holder so instead of C:/folder/folder/folder/file.ext it is trying to target c://folder//folder/folder//file.ext If you copy the zip file you want to restore from to the cache directory manually you are able to run the restore command properly. RE: [Release] Backup (formerly XBMC Backup) - Tarkus_ - 2018-04-05 I have all my backups on an SMB directory, and haven't had any problem so far. Just did a clean install of SPMC the other day, and it restored just fine from the remote backup. RE: [Release] Backup (formerly XBMC Backup) - Unpleasant - 2018-04-22 Hello guys, I have a problem with profile name which contains non-english character.
Is there any workaround? I've spent tons of time on configuration, everything works like a charm and now I'd like to port this setup to my family members HTPCs, but I can't. RE: [Release] Backup (formerly XBMC Backup) - Jeffers24 - 2018-04-22 (2018-04-22, 12:13)Unpleasant Wrote: Hello guys,Install and run Kodi on the target HTPC to create the Kodi folder. Copy your Kodi folder (onto USB or any other media you like), delete the Kodi folder on the target HTPC, paste your Kodi folder to replace the deleted Kodi folder and start Kodi |
