Audio "pops' or beeps during video playback in Eden - butters - 2012-04-25 11:20
I recently noticed audio "pops" or beeps randomly occuring throughout the movie. I say random because they don't appear to be just at chapter markers or any other specific point. They do, however occur at the same spot each time the video is played.
After tinkering with some audio / video settings (ie audio clock) , and also testing other network protocols (ftp / samba) I could not remedy the problem.
I'm running on Win 7 & 8 as well as ATV2. Same issue with all three. Running Eden (11.0)
• Recently, I decided to install darma (10.1), just for the heck of it. MY AUDIO ISSUES WERE FIXED! Just like that....
---so can anyone help me figure out what changed / what I can do to get Eden to function to my satisfaction?
NOTES:
My collection is DVD ISO rips (1:1)
Audio "blips" occur whether the file is local or on the network, so I dont think that is an issue

I have the same problem, and happens only when playing DVD discs or DVD files (riped), not when playing other video files (avi, mkv, etc).
I also have Windows 7x64 wiht eden 11.0

I get audio pops while skipping tracks when playing back music. While playing a song, if I press next it sometimes causes the audio to pop. I use SPDIF for my amp and I've tried Directsound and WASAPI.

pops and clicks here as well...all the time watching or lstening o any format really. Streaming, local, avi, mkv, flac, etc. Analog outs

There was a known issue with Eden and that - doubt anyone will fix with Frodo coming up though. The entire audio system has changed....

I thought this was going to go away with Frodo and the new audio engine, but it is still doing it. It's volume level is lower, and seems to vary by the volume of the scene in which it occurs. Very quiet scenes, can't hardly hear it, but the louder the scene the louder the beep is. What can I do to stop the beeping? I have a lot of video_ts movies and would rather not have to re-rip them to a different format if I can help it.
This does it with windows client and all of my openelec clients.

Do you have Sync Playback to Display enabled?

Still happens with Frodo. Nothing has changed with this issue. The pops match with each dvd chapter either with dvd disc or dvd file...
No, sync isnt enabled.

I have tried it both enabled and disabled. Doesn't make a difference.
