tv show names in advancedsettings.xml - Spongeroberto - 2012-04-28 22:39
I was reading the wiki page on tv show matching with advancedsettings.xml. I noticed that there is a great guide on how to set up regular expressions to match filenames, but I saw no info about matching folder names.
I use the following structure:
<show name> (year)\Season <season number>\<show name>.s<season number>e<episode number>
and the year in the folder name throws the scraper off. The scraper sends the entire string literally to thetvdb. Since that site itself is horribly inconsistent with show names, only a handfull are found. Is there a way to add regex strings to my settings file so that the scraper will try both the full string and just the first part?
I know I could use .nfo files but I'd prefer to do it differently if possible.
