10bit anime, CCCP and XBMC - aoaaron - 2012-05-07

Okay so I've installed CCCP and all my anime plays fine from MPC.

Is there a way for XBMC to use MPC instead of its internal player to play my stuff whilst still being able to pause/play etc.?

Thanks for any help, its much appreciated. I've heard of a DS player fix also?

I'm on windows 7 so any help much appreciated! xoxo

The newest xbmc builds play 10 bit encodes.

They're basically "Monthlies". Like nightlies, but a little more stable. That one is called XBMC v12alpha1, and is pretty usable for day to day use. It also plays Hi10P anime files like a champ.

If that doesn't work for you, give the DSPlayer (wiki) version of XBMC a try. There's also some additional forum links for getting external players to work on the Hi10P (wiki) XBMC Wiki page.
