360 wireless problem - g.scholtens - 2012-05-23 10:50

I have got 2 problems in xbmc whit some windows games.

Problem 1:my wireless 360 controller doesn't work.I have put the .XML of the 360 controller in my custom keymap, but unfortunately without consequence.

Problem 2: Games are not opened in a maximized window. On the Properties from the .exe file i've set the settings to maximalize the window. But once I open the game in xbmc, he opens it in a normal window. If I exit the game, then I'm not going backwards in xbmc. Xbmc but I see in the taskbar.

1. Read this thread. It should help you.
2. Are you using one of the launcher add-ons for this?

RE: Problems 360 controller - g.scholtens - 2012-05-23 15:15

RE: Advanched launcher problem - g.scholtens - 2012-05-23 20:26

360 controller still not working.

I've done edit the name line.
According to this link: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=131157&highlight=%2B360+%2Bcontroller
Installed new 64bits windows 7 driver, no results in xbmc.

Must i install the 360evenclient.exe?

Problem 2 is still going on.

You first need to make sure the controller shows up in the Windows device manager. Then in XBMC find the exact name of the controller in the log file. That is the name that needs to be in the xml file.

I've not done this myself, but have you tried making them EXACTLY the same?

It looks as if you are missing the "for Windows" part of the name.

From the thread I linked to earlier:
(2012-05-16 07:39)Rostol Wrote:  You need to edit this line in the xml file:

to read extactly what the xbmc log is detecting as a controller.

Maybe someone can post his .xml file with the same controller?

RE: 360 wireless problem - kricker - 2012-05-24 16:06

Have you tried the name as stated above exactly?

SHould this one work?

RE: 360 wireless problem - kricker - 2012-05-24 16:47

The name still doesn't match exactly what your log has, so probably not until you change that.

Either you have a copy and paste issue, or they are really still not the same.

Code:
17:29:03 T:2264 NOTICE: Enabled Joystick: Controller (Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows)

Code:
<joystick name="Controller (Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows)s">
