so, now when i launch xbmc i get a new intro video. can this be removed or disabled? this is from the cvs.07.04.05 build.

nothing we added, blame the build you downloaded.
i know for a fact that this is covered under actual frequently asked questions
it's covered under "startup music" look there for your answer!
