Blank Screen and Dim don't work for me on Precise / Intel HD 4000 - TheFeshy - 2012-06-11
I have Ubuntu 12.04 installed on a machine with an Ivy Bridge 3570k, using the integrated graphics for output. I am using the version of XBMC from the PPA. XBMC is unable to blank or dim the screen. Testing these options from the screensaver setting as no affect. I have recently switched to the 3.3.7 kernel, due to the 3.2.x series kernels having frequent hard locks with Ivy bridge integrated graphics. Prior to this switch, "blank screen" would cause the screen to flicker, rather than blank - but only when it came on by itself, not when tested via the screensaver settings. Now the option simply has no effect.
Does anyone else experience this issue or know a fix for it?
