how many movies can xbmc read from one directory. on updates it does not find the new movies i have added. have more than 350 now

I currently have 1221 movies in XBMC. Only issue I have is there are three movies that are NOT showing up. I'll be posting about this momentarily.

If you are missing some movie and you don't know which one you could browse through the files and see which one is missing some metadata next to it.
If you spot one and hit "i" it will bring up the scraper search.
No limit except for the capibilities of your hardware
Other method is using the "Missing Movie plugin" which will search for files that are not scraped into your library
