There is no link between VLC and XBMC beside the fact that we share some common libs such as FFMpeg.

Great video taken during a Google I/O 2011 session about bringing C and C++ games to Android which applies to XBMC as well:

Very good session notes:

Quote:Bringing C and C++ Games to Android
May 11, 03:00PM – 04:00PM / Room 8

Want to make great Android games, but you're not a Java programmer? This talk is for you. Android supports a toolchain for building applications in C/C++. In December 2010 it got a makeover specifically aimed at making life better for game developers. This presentation gives an introduction to Android programming in C/C++, covers what's new and improved since last year, and shows best practices for building and debugging games with the NDK.

Track: Android
Session Level: 201
Speaker: Ian Ni-Lewis
Speaker: Dan Galpin

Dan Galpin is a Developer Advocate for Android Games and Comics, working with the Dalvik and NDK environments. Before Google he spent 10 years developing at almost every layer of the mobile stack.

Got some neat tips and tricks that you maybe did not know was avaiable when using the Android NDK Smile

Maybe some of the information from the session notes would be good to have in this XBMC wiki article?

Cant wait to try it out on my Galaxy Nexus and Acer A500 and soon to have in my hands Nexus 7.

If someone can supply the apk I'd be more than happy to test it out.
