(this gives error: I/O Exception, Http://MY_IP:5544/xbmcCmds/xbmcHttp?command=GetSystemInfo(120))
Changing port does not change anything.

So I reinstalled using the V7 disc and all was working, Till I updated XBMC the other night, Then it broke it again.

I am sorry I don't have logs at the moment, I am at work. I can get some later. But thought I would post and see if any one else has these issues.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

thats because the long deprecated http api has been removed from xbmc lately.

ad sickbeard) I sent a PR to make it work again: https://github.com/midgetspy/Sick-Beard/pull/514
its not perfect and is still being worked on by _zoggy_, but it works for me.in the meantime.

ad couchpotato) dunno if someone already works on it, might have a look myself when I find time.

ad Android remote) try yatse, its already updated to work with json

How are you adding the sources? When you go into "Files" mode and navigate to the individual files, do they play from there?

The sound issue is completely different. That's more of setup issue. You'll need to provide more details of your hardware and how you have XBMC set up in order to better troubleshoot what's going on.

Befor I do xbmc install

But what where shell I typ in comands for the boot up to start hdmi support.

Code:

Bad Idea. Don't try to run the xvba edition from compiz, it just sucks.

I created a new livecd bases on the xbmc unstable repository, which has been fixed over the weekend. Enjoy!

IMPORTANT: this does NOT include Xvba support! AMD users are recommended to not upgrade to this version. They should just do "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade" to get the latest xvba enabled package.
the Team Xbmc unstable PPA is official xbmc git master code only

RE: [XBMCbuntu] XBMC 12.00 - Frodo beta release - nmiller - 2012-11-13

In looking for something somewhat long term I was wondering which, if any, of these releases will continue to be updated monthly even past Frodo Final? I want to be able to continue using "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade" to stay up to date with the latest monthly release.

trying to update the librtmp file but am getting permission denied. I did this no problem on the stable version, is it possible using this awesome build?

edit: I got it working from info in this post http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=78370&pid=1158306#pid1158306
