Socket timeout after successfull wake up - Speager - 2012-06-19
Issue: XBMC Android Remote (version: 0.8.8-beta1) will show error message "Socket Timeout" even if XBMC is successfully wake and remote is connect (is possible see Movies, Music, etc..). I tried change WOL time up to 120s and read timeout up to 15000ms, but error message will still appears..
All message:
"Socket Timeout"
"Make sure xbmc web server is enabled and xbmc is running."
Can anybody help please?

I have the same issue running XBMC Remote on a Cynogenmod 9 on an HP Touchpad and Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
The remote is connected and functioning properly, however I keep getting "Socket Timeout" and "Make sure xbmc web server is enabled and xbmc is running." errors.

I try it on different HTPC and with different smart phone (Google Nexus 7) and I have same result => "Socket Timeout"

You may want to try other solutions like Yatse to remote control Xbmc.
