Sound has suddenly stopped working only on XBMC - recalcitrant - 2012-06-19 XBMC Eden Ubuntu Pangolin Architecture x86 Install Method PPA Sound on my Linux box is working perfectly through speaker test or other media players but just stopped working a week ago on XBMC. I only use XBMC as a music player so can't say if there's sound for video. I have reinstalled XBMC from the Ubuntu repository, I have updated Ubuntu to latest updates and still no sound. I've searched on here and couldn't see a similar thread so any help gratefully received. It feels so antiquated having to use a media player conventionally ... I want my xbmc sound back :-( RE: Sound has suddenly stopped working only on XBMC - Plaguester - 2012-06-19 Post your XBMC audio settings, how your speakers are connected (HDMI > receiver... etc.), and how you launch XBMC (within the Ubuntu session or in a standalone XBMC session). |
