Getting the User Token error, and HTTP error and i have no idea how to solve it, and cant find anything on google Sad

Yes looks like there was in update in the past 48 hours and now i'm getting the Token error also.

Hi,

I ran into the same token error myself on my OpenElec httpc. After some poking arround I discovered imports xbmcswift2 in the default.py which I did not have. So googled xbmcswift2 and found http://www.xbmcswift.com. Downloaded xbmcswift2 for frodo https://github.com/jbeluch/xbmcswift2-xbmc-dist/archive/2.4.0.zip and installed it from .zip file from the settings->addon menu. Disabled twitch addon and enabled it again after xbmcswift2 was installed got rid of the token error message for me. If you are running into the same problems it is worth a try Smile

*poff*' Back to watching SC2 streams

Sadly, this did not help. Sad

RE: [RELEASE] Twitch.tv - dedi2 - 2013-08-02

Hi,

Since a few days I got the problem that approx. every 10-20secs the fps drops to 1 for 2-4secs. While this stuttering it its just slow (frame for frame), not skipping frames (just really slow playback). It generally stays in sync with audio, the skipping of the video happens with the beginning of the stuttering. (Again to be clear: video jumps forward, starts stuttering frame for frame, until it catches the sync again with the uninterrupted audio playback).

I tried disable sync audio and video in xbmc settings, as well as adjust framerate of the display and xvda.
The media center is a self build quadecore with plenty resources. internet connection is fine. Playback in browser is fine. Plugin worked always with no problem until few days ago.

Tried sc2 and quakelive streams.

Any ideas what can cause this?

Edit: seems to be a problem with 720p & best. No issues with 480p.

It could be a network issue. Sometimes you get a bad twitch.tv server which can be too slow to provide constant 720p, twitch is known for that especially in Europe. You could try pausing for some time and then playing it, so it has time to buffer (I don't know if this plugin handles pausing like this, though).

Also make sure it's not a playback issue from your side. Press the o key during playback to open the video information. Check for frameskips etc.

The issue with the token error should be resolved now. Part of the problem were channels with subscriptions. I hope the update will be in the repo within the next few days. The brave can try the git-version from StateOfTheArt.

Great! Thanks

RE: [RELEASE] Twitch.tv - DaveKap - 2013-08-09

Hey all. I'm here to request a way to edit the buffer of Twitch streams. Why?

On my PC Twitch streaming is pretty much as fast as possible thanks to the fact that I live in the same city as one of the popular Twitch data centers. I assume that when I use this plug-in, the speed my HTPC gets off the Internet is equal to that of my PC since they are both connected to the same router. Yet for no good reason, Twitch streams on XBMC are forced into using a 10 second buffer. Besides the fact that I can measure this distance myself by having the same stream running on both PC and HTPC at once, it actually shows this discrepancy inside XBMC itself! When you check the status of a stream, the "current time" is always 10 seconds behind the "total time" of the stream. Due to this fact, I can't help but think my HTPC has exactly the 10 seconds of buffer that I'm recognizing as 10 seconds of lag on the stream itself. Because of my fast internet speed and appropriately powerful HTPC machine, I don't understand why I can't completely remove this buffer or, at the very least, minimize it.

Can anyone lend a hand on this issue?

I ran into this problem myself, even though I set all buffers to max. It hast probably to do with librtmp and cannot be influenced by xbmc :/

RE: [RELEASE] Twitch.tv - Jezze - 2013-08-17

Is it possible watch private channels with password? If no, is there coming any updates for this addon?

It depends on how the password protection for those channels is implemented. Do you need to login to twitch.tv to watch those channels? If so, it is impossible right now to implement access to those channels, since we cannot safely use any of the authentication-mechanisms that twitch provides.

No, channel is hidden and asking only access code. No login required. In web browser you can get in channel if you know cahnnel name. Is it problem? Smile

RE: [RELEASE] Twitch.tv - ptx-chris - 2013-08-20

It might be possible, though I don't now any channels I could use to test it against. Maybe you could help me out with that. Write me a PM to discuss this further.
