Ok, so with everyones help, this is what I came up with. Please tell me if its no good, or I am missing something, etc...

Case: Thermaltake Chase Mk-1 w/ TR2 500W power supply
MB: Z77 1155 G1 Sniper M3
CPU: Intel I3-2125
MEM: 8GB Kingston HyperX
HD: Corsair SSD Force 3 90GB + (2) Seagate Barracuda 2TB drives for storage
& LG Drive Blu-Ray Writer w/ 3D support

Yes/No? Problems? Concerns?

Even if you add a GT430 later, the power supply is way too much.

What case did you decide on?

the case/power supply was a recommendation from my brother actually

I have a 6 x 3.5" HDD server and it doesn't even use 100W at startup. The rest of the time it's cruising along at 50W. You might use 120W-150W with a bigger CPU than I have but most of the time you'll be hanging around 50W-60W tops while watching video. That's not even 10% of load. Ideally you want to run in the 20-50% range.I think a smaller PSU would be better, something 300W, which would still give you tons of headroom for a GPU card later.

+1......PSU run most efficient at 50% of the load......but if that is how OP want it, it will work fine too......

I can see that....Thermaltake Chase Mk-1 fit the profile of the gamer.....and you don't need 8GB of memory for HTPC either.

What I suggested in post #10 is more than enough for HTPC.....if you want to play hardcore game, you can always install a discrete GPU in it later.....
