CRemoteControl::Connect - failed to connect - chawlas - 2012-06-27

I getting this error message when I try to start xbmc. Another problem is that I don't see my xbmc in my xbox 360. Do I need to do any additional configuration? Do I need to have a remote set up in order to use xbmc.
I can post the debug log if you want me to.

Thanks
Sam

Don't worry about that error. It only means it could not connect to IR server suite, which is a third party tool for IR support.

If your trying to use XBMC as a DLNA server for your xbox360, you may want to re-think that. The xbox360 is going to need things transcoded on the fly in order to play them, which XBMC does not do. That is unless ALL your content is already encoded in a format the xbox360 can play.

Well how does then one connect a xbmc to the TV wirelessly?

Wirelessly? You don't. If you wanna see XBMC you need to run a video cable from the PC to the TV, or use a wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver.
