DVD Playback? - Simon6785 - 2012-07-02 Hello, I'm usung xbmcbuntu. I have burned a few .mkv files to DVD's. But when I insert the DVD, it recognizes the dvd and shows the button to play, but it won't play if i press it?! Where is the problem? THX! RE: DVD Playback? - Simon6785 - 2012-07-03 Is what I want to do even possible? When I boot to Lubuntu, I can see the .mkv File on the DVD. If I start xbmc, the play button appears, but pressing it noathing happens... RE: DVD Playback? - yoda-sama - 2012-07-31 I think that play button is just for launching a properly structured DVD, if you're wanting to play a .mkv file stored on a data DVD, I believe the disc's contents will show up under Videos -> Files. RE: DVD Playback? - pumkinut - 2012-08-01 yoda-sama is correct. To "play" a DVD, it has to be a DVD-structured disk, i.e. an MPEG2 movie disk with correct ifo and vob files. A DVD disk with an MKV burned to it is not structured like a DVD movie, rather it's structured like a data disk. |
