Remove the music library categories - Dregel - 2012-07-10
Hello!
I have been playing around with XBMC for quite a while now and i have almost got it running the way i want to suite my needs for organizing my music collection.
The last problem that I'm facing is to find a way to make the music library jump straight into the "Artist" category instead of displaying a whole bunch of useless and ugly categories each time i enter the music library.
I have searched everywhere I can think of for a possible solution but to no avail, so now I'm asking here on the forums if there is any way to accomplish this seemingly simple task.

Yes you can, you have to edit the skin, have a look at the wiki or try asking in Skin Help and Support

IIRC there's still a Set Default available in the music context menu (it may later vanish, as better things are on the way). Also, most skins have a submenu on home for this purpose, such as Confluence.
