Again, as an Android app, you do not have control over switching display resolutions. So discussion on if or if not some android device supports 24Hz are futile.

Take a moment and think what happens when Android switches the display.... the entire display subsystem is torn down and re-created. I also suspect Android will force quit any running apps too.

Oh, I misunderstood. And indeed, when changing the frequency, the screen goes dark for a little while. I'm not sure if running apps are force-closed. But, if the normal frequency is 60Hz, can't 24Hz be simmulated by dropping the remaining frames?

EDIT: Just saw the OUYA announcement. Great news guys and great timing, the project is nearly funded...

You know what....I'll gladly donate both of the ATV's to some devs. They are just sitting in a drawer in my entertainment center taking up space. I realize I could get a decent amount for them both on Ebay since they have the Crystal HD cards in them, but I feel like I need to give back some more to XBMC.
So if any devs want them, I'll send them along if you pay for shipping.

Don't worry, it'll be delayed long past then! Tongue

This was the only push I needed, once the official announcement came from XBMC I backed it. Can't wait.

What does this mean for XBMC on Tegra in general? ie. will this effort help it run on Tegra2?

I think I remember Davilla saying that the Tegra2 just couldn't handle 1080p, or the HW Acceleration API was weak, or something like that, having to do with the Boxee Box?

Tegra 2 doesn't have the NEON stuff built into it Tegra 3 does and also has it on every core so no it doesn't really help tegra 2 much
