Frodo with AE hogging the audio chain - h8redv2 - 2012-07-14 Hi Have been running Frodo with Audio Engine for a while now. Works like a charm. Up until I fired up a 3D Blu Ray, this minimizes xbmc and launches TMT 5. The movie wouldn't play any sound and was extremely slow. Then I tested MCE live tv with xbmc minimized, and it reported no Audio or video files present, Thus not playing. Then I ended xbmc and both worked again. Is this because of Frodo with AE? Anyone know ? RE: Frodo with AE hogging the audio chain - baijuxavior - 2012-07-14 I think it is because now XBMC takes exclusive access of your audio device. RE: Frodo with AE hogging the audio chain - bossanova808 - 2012-07-14 Which is fine...if xbmc is actually using it....I've raised this in the AE thread for Windows and PMed DDDamian but no attenton as yet - xbmc should release the device if it's not actually in playback (and gui sounds are off). Hopefully enough people will keep raising this issue - on any non-xbmc exclusive type system, it will be a major pain if it permanently grbs the device. |
