hardware in the uk - hobbit666 - 2012-07-23

So i'm still not decided on andriod or go for something that will run say openelec but my main issue is what's available in the uk.

I fancy a pivos xios but with no uk channel whatis out there?

I know i can go with mini-itx route (still an option) but i would prefer a small contained box that will run xbmc in some form.

So been looking into this most of the night. And have come up with a few options

1) Buy a ASUS oplay device
2) Buy and build a mini-itx machine based on a ASUS motherboard with Atom Processor
3) But and build a mini-itx machine based on a ASUS motherboard and add a Dual Core PGA1155 processor
(use either oplenelec or ubuntuxbmc with option 2+3)

All i want to do is stream films from my ReadyNAS NV+. All are DVD/Blu-RAY Rips at 720p. Don't think i have any 1080 yet.
Which option would you recommend.

Will i get away with using just the onboard GPU? Want to use smallest case possible and mount to back of TV out of site.
