Starting XBMC via task scheduler causes crash - gyro - 2012-07-29 Hey everyone I want to be able to start XBMC remotely (Via my android phone) and i have a program that will allow me to run scheduled tasks. As such, ive tried to create a task in windows task scheduler which simply starts the XBMC executable, but whenever i try to run it, it doesn't start. Event viewer shows that it crashed trying to open it, but if i double click xbmc.exe as normal, it runs and works fine. Anyone know why this might be happening? I am running it in windows 7 compat. mode, but have tried all the other modes anyway and get the same problem. Here is the event viewer log, i appreciate any help people can give on this Fault bucket , type 0 Event Name: APPCRASH Response: Not available Cab Id: 0 Problem signature: P1: XBMC.exe P2: 10.5.0.0 P3: 4f6a5a0a P4: KERNELBASE.dll P5: 6.1.7601.17651 P6: 4e2111c0 P7: e06d7363 P8: 0000d36f P9: P10: Attached files: These files may be available here: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppCrash_XBMC.exe_f78eb2e5fee23bb6f7f3923e8d5c6cf99efdf3_2f7deb63 Analysis symbol: Rechecking for solution: 0 Report Id: 3687e3f0-d997-11e1-b9ed-002354d79744 RE: Starting XBMC via task scheduler causes crash - gyro - 2012-08-14 just wanted to bump this - does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
