wanted to know if it was possible to watch Live TV inside XBMC on ATV1 via USB TV tuner plugged in?
I am running cyrstalbutnu directly from hdd.

not without running some backend that knows about the usb tuner.

Davilla, but is it possible to install the backend directly in the apple tv, something that will work with crystalbutnu?
I only want live tv no PVR function required.

I would check out the Crystalbuntu (wiki) forums. I'm fairly certain I've seen a how-to on there for getting a USB tuner working (via TVheadend). In any case, it's more than possible, as people have done it before :)
