Fanless video card - blargman - 2012-09-27 So I made the mistake of buying a B75 chipset board for my i3 with no HDMI. (DERP). Instead of buying a diff board, I figure I'll just get a dedicated card. What would be a good choice? Something fanless and comparable to hd4000 or better would be ideal. RE: Fanless video card - wsume99 - 2012-09-27 Why not just return the board and get another one? That would probably cost less than getting a video card and the iGPU would certainly use less power than a discrete card. You went the extra mile and got the i3+HD4000 and now you're not even going to use it? That just seems wrong to me. If you want a fanless video card then your best options are probably a Nvidia GT520 or an ATI HD6450. RE: Fanless video card - Jetster - 2012-09-27 620, 630, 6550, 5550, 520, 530 Are all better then the HD4000. But the HD4000 beats the 5450 and 6450 from what I read. So your might want to return your board http://www.anandtech.com/show/5771/the-intel-ivy-bridge-core-i7-3770k-review/19 RE: Fanless video card - errornumber419 - 2012-09-27 Honestly I am using this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121422 My case has bad airflow and it still runs cool. Runs every 1080p file I throw at it with 5.1 dts no problems. RE: Fanless video card - Dougie Fresh - 2012-09-27 All good options. Let us know what you do! |
