Xbmc machine not reachable from constellation app without tv - Skank - 2012-10-04
Cause i want to listen to my music without the tv on.. I thought it would work if i just turn on my xbmc machine and my pioneer vsx 920
Normally i turn on my tv (lg pk 950) set on hdmi 4 , turn on my pioneer 920 set on hdmi 2 and turn on my xbmc machine , then everything works well with constellation app on my ipad.
Cause theres no need to have tv on for music, i tried the following:
Xbmc machine on and pioneer on set on hdmi 2
But then it goes wrong...
When i use constellation app , it cant connect to my xbmc machine
It looks like it doesnt. Startup normally
When i turn on my tv set on hdmi 4, i dont get any picture...
Any thoughts?
Why is windows/xbmc not starting up the normal way?

Short version, you need a monitor.
You can make a dummy plug if you have an extra port.

Or try something like zonescreen.
