LiveTv Trouble - Miketyler - 2012-10-23

Hey everyone,

Ok I will start off by that I am new to the Xbmc thing trying to figure this out and googling like crazy, So I have found this addon that I want its called LiveTv im sure most of you have heard of and probably have it, So I have windows 7 installed Xbmc. Installed this addon from the Repo Sinfulxbmc.imacrepo.com, I have an .Xml file that I found from somewhere not sure where it may have even been this site well here it is http://home.no/chj191/LiveTV.xml. Now I followed the youtube video and inserted this file as instructed.... The problem I have is that like only 2 or so channels actually work? Am I missing something here or has the repo not been updated? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That xml file has been abandoned. None of the streams there have been updated for quite some time. You'll need to use a different xml file. The problem is that streams go up and down on a daily basis. So you have to have an xml file that is updated very regularly. Which is a real hassle to keep up with for the person providing it.

You might check this thread: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=139948

That's the only decent xml file I know of that's being updated at the moment.

For A&E, check out BlueCop's Free Cable add-on. This add-on has an option for National Geographic, but it's disabled by default because currently it isn't working. There's also a separate National Geographic add-on by stacked, but it's also broken due to website changes.
