Well, what' a surprise...
Development of for the record is no longer taking place. The developers have parted ways and it appears dot-i has started development of ARGUS TV.
No more news yet, but if anyone can chime in on what this all means, be my guest!

Yes, felt a little disheartened when I saw their website earlier on, then realised ARGUS TV is already available for download and is basically everything that 4TR was + bug fixes, with more good stuff to come, so really it's just a name change at the moment by the looks of things

Have you tried it with the fortherecord plugin in XBMC by any chance?

Not yet, currently the wife is watching TV - so that wouldn't be a good move
From what I read the API for ARGUS is backward compatible, so I guess it should work - but Red-F is already at work on a version designed to work with the new ARGUS specifically

I only recently started using FTR as well. A lot more stable than Mediaportal I found.
Hopefully Argus will improve upon it.
