Music not playing through library - ben79 - 2012-12-07
I'm running Raspbmc beta 2 and am having a very frustrating problem that has rendered most of my music unuseable. I have posted this also in the raspbmc forum but haven't had much help.
The problem is with my music library - a large number of my mp3s will not play when I try and open them through the library (ie via album view or artist view) but they will play when I search directly for the track or via the file browser. I assumed the library was corrupt, but I've deleted it and rescanned several times and it has made no difference.
For example - in the log below I have tried to play 'wires' by athlete. Via Music>Albums>Tourist>Wires, I get "One or more items failed to play. Check the log file for details". However, if I then search for 'wires' the track is found and then plays. This is a problem for a large number of my mp3 tracks.
This file played fine in Eden. The problem seems to have arisen since the move to Frodo Beta. It means that I cannot easily access 90% of my music.
