RE: Geniatech ATV1200 and XBMC hardware decoding - bobones - 2014-06-03

No beta, 13.0 release, which is what I had running with the Geniatech f/w. I copied the org.xbmc.xbmc folder before I flashed it and restored it so I didn't need to resetup xbmc. I could have installed 13.1 RC1 but choose to use what I had been previously.

isnt there 3 betas though?

i must remember to copy and and restore that file org.xbmc.xbmc folder myself to avoid resetup

RE: Geniatech ATV1200 and XBMC hardware decoding - bobones - 2014-06-03

The latest beta release is 13.1 RC1 and the latest stable release is 13.0. There is no need to consider any other version at this moment in time..

@Biatsch
Have you found anything good to report about this firmware over existing Geniatech one? The only thing I've noticed is better behaviour of supplied IR remote, but it is still prone to guisettings.xml going back to defaults.

The cube launcher is in my dropbox .... Uploaded a few pics too

Works for ATV 400, 1200 and 520E

Notable changes:

- Added Miracast (Please note this works on all makes and models which support miracast, except Samsung right now, due to Samsung requiring a HDCP Key for miracast, which requires a hardware chip to be on the box for HDCP)
- Improved DLNA Support
- Improved DLNA/Airplay support for Android Devices.  This can be turned on with the new Media Center App
-  Faster and more stable perfomance
-  Removed some pre inmstalled apps, which are not needed
- Overall more available memory now after the upgrade
-  Auto Detect for resolution on HDMI and RCA outputs.  (Please note Component Video no longer works on this upgrade, and will be removed from production on future shipments)
- Fixed XBMC Add on shortcuts disappearing
- Fixed XBMC keyboard functions when using a external usb keyboard, you can now use all keyboard buttons on a keyboard remote, this was a big complaint we got from a lot customers
-  Fixed XBMC display 4:3 videos as 16:9 always
- Fixed Gmail app not syncing gmail contacts

For the rom u have to wait till mygica releases it ....... The only thing i say it works great compared to 4.1

RE: Geniatech ATV1200 and XBMC hardware decoding - Biatsch - 2014-06-03
