I don't know enough about the whole thing to know what problem is what sorry.
I've also started a new thread in the tvheadend forum as well. Hardly anyone in the OpenELEC forum seems to want to help unfortunately.

Sorry for the late reply - yes I have fiddled with all of that.

Yop,

with putty, give the result for :

dmesg |grep tda
dmesg |grep saa

and lspci

and lsusb.

Thanks, but I've given up and am going to have to put Windows on the box.
I'll keep an eye out for any progress on Linux supporting the tuner card and if that happens I'll try again.
