Looking for info on using a TV adapter on my Synology DS410 - mikkelnl - 2013-01-09

I'm thinking about testing PVR features on my setup, but I could use some pointers where to start etc.

After reading the PVR FAQ, I'd like to give it a try but I'm not sure which setup is best in my case:

I'm using a Synology DS410 NAS on which my media is stored. There is a TV Headend package availlable which should work. However, I'm clueless which TV adapter hardware I shoudl use on the NAS...?

My tv provider is Ziggo, in the Netherlands, which is a DVB-C provider: I have a coaxial cable and most channels require the use of a smart-card.

I'm not even sure if DVB-C is supported on the Synology DS410, so i't be great of someone could give me some pointers etc Smile

THANKS!

Hi Mikkelnl,

I was wondering if you had more info after you post your question?

This because i was looking for the same setup to use my DS411j with the tvheadend app or buildt an tvheadend "server" from a XMBC buildt for the Raspberry Pi.

Ziggo is also the tv provider to work with.
