XBMC issues on start and stop - cladmonitor - 2013-02-11
So I have been chasing my tail trying to fix a problem with a recent xbmcbutu install.
When I use Aeon Nox my system will not exit/reboot;
xbmc freezes when I try to leave the xbmc process. When I run "top" I see it using 100% of cpu load.
When xbmc comes up (whether from a sigterm fault or from system start) I only get the skin furniture, no text or images (background or otherwise) I can simply open system>settings and esc out and everything comes up.
I dont have these issues with Confluence. I have tried removing the guisettings.xml and rebooting but experience the same problems. Any troubleshooting steps I need to do to try and resolve?

Well I blew away my userdata folder and running aeon with no customization works fine, Ill slowly put humtpy dumpty back together and let you know what/when it breaks.
Edit:
I'd also like to note that like a few others I have seen, xbmc seems to run at about 15% cpu load while aeon is enabled. Just thought its worth pointing out.
