libavcodec v53.61.100 causes stuttering video. Anyone working on v54.91.102 ? - flyingrat - 2013-02-12

It looks like libavcodec v53.61.100 that is currently used in xbmc frodo causes stuttering video. (Check: "[BUG LOCATED] No cache/buffer is used for m3u8 "playlists", causes stuttering video"). Is someone working (or has plans to work) on an implementation of the latest stable release which is v54.91.102 ??

Hi,

This is a known issue and a thread in here somewhere regarding this topic. However, Im pretty sure we are not allowed to discuss this anymore.

I recieved a year ban* on this (and another topic) for bringing them up into conversation and debating them.

*The year ban i recieved was topic related, meaning xbmc forum moderators have banned me from discussing this (and another particular topic) for 1 year. If I go against this, I recieve a permanent ban.

The topics last post hinted that this would not be looked into any further.

I hope that helps.

Sorry Patrick, couldn't find anything related to the m3u8 issue. Please link to the actual post. Anyhow, if you read the link in the previous post you probably know that the problem is already identified and now it's only a matter of taking the next step. You are more than welcome to develop and test a port of the ffmpeg 1.1 libraries on Windows, RPi or AT. If you are interested send me a pm. Thanks in advance!
