XBMC 12.1-1 is still lag when i use the SRT subtitle。。。 - nic-tse - 2013-03-20
When i use the SRT subtitle，the video become very slow in a short time.
Many user found the bug,when they use IPAD3 4.
I use ipad mini,but it still has this bug.
Can you fix it?

Can you give us a debug log? I don't know any of these many people, nor have i seen any info on this bug before.

1.I don't think so.The video is H.264
2.My english is very poor.If i disable the subtitles,i can't understand the film.
3.Not only one film happen this problem.Others that make by same group all have this problem.

Give us a mediainfo (http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en) of the file.

HW Decoder doesn't like the file (ist only 720p so 16 reframes is out of spec but might not cause it). It might be a interlaced file or whatever broken encode. This has nothing to do with subtitles.

I think It is not a video format issue but a font render issue.
This happens to asian fonts like Chinese/Japanese/Korean font for there are too many characters for these languages.
Some one has made a patch for eden to reduce the lag by not render the edge of the character.
but it did not merge into the main brunch.

And I use the last XBMC is pathed version that pathed by some fans.

This patch is sacrificing the font border rendering to reduce cpu cycle, it may not be accept by main brunch.
