RE: myXBMC HTML Creator [Re-Work in Progress] - thetonyleone - 2015-03-23

Is there any way to get this to connect directly to a RaspberryPI running Kodi? I don't have it installed locally on my computer.

You can copy the databases and texture-folder to your PC and than run the program.

Help!

I'm having issue understanding the database to use. I'm running KODI 14.2 BETA 1 with 4 user profiles each with separate sources. Scraping is set to local folders of each source. OS is WIN7.

I see a MyVideos90.db in ..Roaming\Kodi\userdata\Database which has latest modified date. I don't see MyVideos75.db and presume this from previous version of KODI.

Thanks for that reply!

Great to see people still being able to use it with its potential, as i'm unable to fully continue support on it.

It's still working perfect with later databases than recommended in the OP. Since there aren't that much changes it should work with all versions since the first official supported but that can change with every new database layout coming up.
Again thanks for the great application (would appreciate it if you can build your beta skin you showed some time ago for the recent version, but I think on IRC you said you've lost/didn't find the source - did you find it?)

Regards Shadowghost

Don't think I have the source anymore, no, i think it wasn't a skin, but a test skin for the entire-new program i began writing but never continued due to lack of time/money.

Thanks for making that clear. Hopefully the programming will work with the upcoming databases-schemes.
I'm still sad that nobody is/was helping you with development. I would but my knowledge is very limited, so no help for you I think.

Could you post a current link to your add on? your signature just points to the first post in this thread.

It's not an add-on and I stopped development. Sorry.

If you even do continue or start new development then the project should probably be renamed/named to meet the official trademark policy:

http://kodi.wiki/view/Official:Trademark_Policy

You should not use "Kodi" or "XBMC" in the product name, see this section:

http://kodi.wiki/view/Official:Trademark_Policy#Related_Software

Related Software

XBMC Foundation products are designed to be extended, and we recognize that community members writing add-ons and supplemental software need some way to identify the XBMC Foundation product to which their add-on/software pertain. Our main concern about add-ons and related software is that consumers not be confused as to whether they are official (meaning approved by XBMC Foundation) or not. To address that concern, we request that add-ons and supplemental software names not include, in whole or in part, the words "XBMC Foundation" or "Kodi" in a way that suggests a connection between XBMC Foundation and the add-on or software (e.g., "Frobnicator for Kodi," would be acceptable, but "Kodi Frobnicator" would not).

I did state: "This product is not affiliated with XBMC, every use of naming is just for reference to ensure the right usage of this Program" all across the program back then.
I'm not a lawyer so I have no idea if that is enough.

But considering "for Kodi" is okay. I would, if it ever comes to a revive, probably choose a name like that.

Recommend you read http://kodi.tv/introducing-kodi-14/ and http://kodi.tv/introducing-the-kodi-logo/ which explain their interest in trademark protection.

After reading those you might be more willing change you mind.

Willing? Re-read what I just said.
