using XBMCbuntu as a file server - roylefamily - 2013-05-18 Hello, I am setting up my HP N40L as a xbmc box. I will be using the extra HD drive slots. I wish to share those drives on a windows network. Has XBMCbuntu the ability to do this or should I go for a full Ubuntu install and have XBMC as an application? Thanks RE: using XBMCbuntu as a file server - wsnipex - 2013-05-18 xbmcbuntu can do that, using samba. In fact it can do everything that ubuntu can do. RE: using XBMCbuntu as a file server - roylefamily - 2013-05-18 Thanks RE: using XBMCbuntu as a file server - getsome - 2013-05-18 This link is what I used to setup my xbmcbuntu http://boshdirect.com/Blogs/Tech/setup-samba-windows-shares-on-xbmc-live.html RE: using XBMCbuntu as a file server - Kib - 2013-05-19 Secretly xbmcbuntu is just plain ubuntu, with LightDM desktopmanager, and xbmc in standalone mode. |
