using XBMCbuntu as a file server - roylefamily - 2013-05-18

Hello,

I am setting up my HP N40L as a xbmc box. I will be using the extra HD drive slots. I wish to share those drives on a windows network. Has XBMCbuntu the ability to do this or should I go for a full Ubuntu install and have XBMC as an application?

Thanks

xbmcbuntu can do that, using samba. In fact it can do everything that ubuntu can do.

Secretly xbmcbuntu is just plain ubuntu, with LightDM desktopmanager, and xbmc in standalone mode.
