ipad as remote - jkeefauver - 2013-05-22
Am having lousy time trying to get ipad remote app to connect to host. all settings enabled (Zeroconf, UPnP, HTTP). Tried going directly to host IP thru browser on ipad, no connection. Am brand new to xbmc guys so would really appreciate some help from someone. Software version is 12.2 (Frodo). Thanks all!

well, if the HTPC and the iPad are in the same network and you have all the necessary things enabled (zeroconf, http, i suggest also System > Remote Control > Allow programs on other systems to control XBMC), that seems a firewall/router issue.

I'm new here too and trying to get to grips with all the features ...... do you have Airplay enabled ?
