I have a patch to fix this, and am hoping to get it submitted: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=175341 (link to apk in the thread) MX Player on XBMC - sledgebeast - 2015-12-20 Is there a way to achieve this exact same configuration on Windows 7 without an Android Emulator? ie. KODI XBMC for Windows External MX Player No Android Emulator Window Box Or should I be looking at a different External Player like Video Lan? Video Lan is good and all many file formats supported. But I have to Say I was Impressed with the Playback Quality of MXPlayer Compared to others... And yes I could probably get there by using an Emulator in Windows like Andyroid or something. But there would be some performance and other advantages to do it without the Emulator I think. RE: MX Player on XBMC - Ned Scott - 2015-12-20 I would be shocked if there were any quality difference between Kodi's internal video player and MXPlayer. However, if you are using Windows and want to use an external player, then you wouldn't want to be emulating an Android video player. You would want to use an actual Windows video player. RE: MX Player on XBMC - sledgebeast - 2015-12-23 Ned I wouldn't have thought that either. But on my tablet I had just tried the mxplayer with KODI and a video that was slightly blocky and pixilated amazingly appeared much cleaner when ran thru the External MX Player instead. Don't know how that could be but there it was. That being said.... On my W7 HTPC in my living room is connected to a 60" Plasma Any pixilation is magnified @ 60" Hence my desire to try MX Player... Thinking maybe MXPlayer's CODECS are doing something better than the built in player. So what are the Typical goto external players for KODI in Windows? Surely someone knows something about em.. that would be helpful to me. Should I be posting this somewhere else?
