I have no Idea, I had read earlier in the forums, that MX Player uses the libstagefright, but I have no Idea. I do know that the 10 FHD uses IMMERSION.16 for graphics (openGL 1.0) and uses Hisilicon Technologies for GPU. According to (Hardware Info)

Any new nightly version will work as it has libstagefright included. 720p playback should work fine.

Your device is also too new and you will have to wait until next week for someone to create a custom firmware + vsync kernel fix for better video playback on freaktab.
After that you will also need to copy the advancedsettings.xlm file to your device for 1080p playback.

Hi guys.
First of all i wanted to say i am a happy camper with xbmc!
I have it on my httpc ( i3 3225) and working great!
Also on my Asus tf300t the xbmc-20130219-32e99c7-android-hwaccel-armeabi-v7a.apk is working perfect with hw acceleration.

Only thing i noticed on my samsung galaxy s4 that it is not working on android 4.3 ge (google edition)
If i put version 4.2.2. android on the s4 back it is working 100% with hw accelaration.

Tryed diffent builds but no luck, i get sound etc but no video.
Is this a android 4.3 bug i guess?
Or am i doing something wrong?

Thx !

Did you try the latest build here.
http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/android/
It should have the android 4.3 fix from 27/7 included if I'm not mistaken.

RE: Support Thread for libstagefright - Experimental hardware video decoding builds - tinuz97 - 2013-08-11

Thx, did not notice that.

Going to try that asap.

RE: Support Thread for libstagefright - Experimental hardware video decoding builds - mantisone2001 - 2013-08-12

BTW people I have a Motorola RAZR HD and it plays default Android xbmc no problem any rez. only a dual core,

And to play a external player on a ugoos, I would look at either a custom super XML for xbmc or the xaf xbmc version. (unoffical)

You can read more about your device here.

http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?4057-NEW-UG802-Finless-1-8-Custom-ROM

Install a custom firmware, make sure it has the new libstagefright.so file. The above rom does.
720p should then work perfect as well as 50% of 1080p videos.

or use the external player solution to play 1080p, but live streams and some addons might not play well.

Thanks buddy really appreciate Smile.. Is there any way to check if I have new libstagefright.so? because I installed official 4.2.2 27july2013 build.. and the one you gave me was build on 3rd june2013, So I guess, I might have latest libstagefright.so.. or is there any way to just update that libstagefright.so under my current rom? IF not, I will just try to flash the finless rom 1.8beta if it solves issue..

Thanks

I have UG802 with Finless 1.8 Custom ROM. Trying to play video with last XBMC nighty build.
Any 720p video playing with big dropframe. No difference between libstagefright.so on and off in settings.

My log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=44790

Video with non-MOD16 height or non MOD-32 width are blacklisted for rockchip because of a bug of the standard libstagefright.so shipped with rockchips firmware.
To enable h/w acceleration, you have to be sure to have a patched libstagefrigh.so, then force enable xbmc to play them thru advancedsettings.xml.

See other related posts for rockchip for details.

Are you interested in feedback from a MeLE A1000G (Allwinner A31) device, Koying? As far as I've been able to investigate it should support the libstagefright too

Sure.

Any specific build you'd like me to test? I've tried the latest test build from 5th of August (as well as others) and it decodes 720p MKV fine but only for about 30-40 seconds then XBMC crashes completely and I'm thrown back into the launcher in Android. I don't have logs but I can easily create some when I get home.
