Gotham and hanewin NFS issue - Deepblack - 2013-07-09
Hello, im having some problems here with gotham alpha 5 and 6. I was using until today XBMC gotham alpha 4, a custom build from xbmc brasil by wanilton, and everything was ok, then i updated to the latest gotham build, alpha 6, and my nfs stopped working.
I made a clean install on my htpc, just deleted /appdata/roaming/xbmc and started a new install with the latest version. Im using Windows 8 PRO 64 bits, and all my files are on the network, using hanewin nfs server share, that always worked fine. My wdtv on the bedroom is ok, and uses my nfs server also. I dont have a nas, my desktop is my file server, with windows 8 too, and running hanewin.
What happens: after this new version was installed, i started adding my sources again (browse, nfs), tried several movie folders, xbmc finds it, i choose movies, i tried local content and moviedb to scrape, then after i click ok to confirm refresh and create library my xbmc suddenly crashes. I tried alpha 5, alpha 6, monthly build, nightly build, and none of those worked, same bug always, tried on my laptop and same the same crash happened. Also tried with frodo and everything went fine, that's only happening on build 5 and 6 of gotham. Just reinstalled an old build 4 and everything went fine.
Anyone had similar problems?

ps: this log is using aeon mq5, but the same bug happens with the default skin, and default installer from xbmc website, the latest gotham version.

What makes you think that this is related to NFS at all?

because this crash only happens, when i try to add an nfs source! to be precise, after i add the source and xbmc asks to refresh library, when the message cleaning library appears, xbmc crashes! only with nfs sources, if i try to add smb or any other sources everything goes fine!
after adding a nfs source on xbmc, if i keep the sources.xml and try to navigate on the source under Files, without library, the moment i click on the nfs share it crashes again...right now im using build 4, and everything is fine, but i can't update to 5 or 6!

what if you use the libnfs.dll from build 4 in build 5 or 6? Does this fix the crash?

You solved it
the problem is indeed with the dll! tried with the latest nightly and with the custom i use here, both worked perfectly with the old dll!

I have experienced this issue as well and copying libnfs.dll from build 4, resolved the issue for me. I am connecting to an Unraid server, fyi.
