If you don't have anything to provide or don't know how to test and configure channels in pseudotv live this isn't for you.

Ok. I haven't really looked for channels on YouTube yet, I'll poke around and see what I can find Smile

If you can build a list and let me know if the problem is with one type of format this would help me narrow down the issue.

thanks

My issues were with primarily with mkv format which is what I burn most of my media as lately, but also with mp4's for sure, and I believe avi's. As far as subtitles, .sub and .srt extensions both caused it. It should be easy enough to replicate, you might get a few proper seek/resume playbacks initially, but it will reset soon enough after a couple channel changes.

I eventually just wrote a script to run that deleted all subtitle extensions, and ran that through media center master to remove all mine...sucked, but everything seeks proper now.

I've checked this morning, and it's definitely an issue with all my formats - mkv, mp4 and avi, as long as they have a separate subtitle file. I've got plenty of files with built-in subtitles that don't misbehave at all.

I've also noticed that if you start PTVL and it's already on a channel that's halfway through a movie, it'll work as it should, but if you then change to a different channel and back, it'll restart from the beginning.

Hello All.

1st wanted to say what a great plugin. Thanks Luna!
And thanks to everyone posting their experiences and troubleshooting. It's been helpful with my setup.

Also joined the board to inquire about the above issue I'm having in PTVL. I'm having the same problem and deleted all my subtitles but still have the issue when changing channels and having the channel start the movie/show from the beginning. Anyone else have a similar situation with an alternate solution?

I have various file types and my setup is using OpenELEC 4.0 on a Raspi. Also, I'm using all my own content. No live channels.

Thanks again!

Well I don't have anything to provide yet, but that doesn't mean I won't in the future. I have configured my own channels with personal media and I've recently figured out USTVnow channels. I'm gonna start looking for other ways to use this plugin and thought I'd join in to see what is considered "interesting".

PM me your gmail, you will be added as a contributor to https://code.google.com/p/pseudotv-live-community/

This will be the home for a few lists that will build autotune channels. Unlike livestream that aggregated illegal direct streams, my list will primarily be made up of youtube channels, playlists and XBMC plugin configurations that work.

Your job... is to maintain the list! amend the lists... add, remove links. PseudoTV Live will build directly off these lists. Please try not to leech, if you have a working personal configuration... share with the community!

So is anything thats in the "gray area" found on youtube, considered fair game to add? Kinda like the bring the popcorn deal?

Tried to find the more information on the site, nothing there that I found though. So is this being broken down into channels? Such as throw your links for nature stuff here, or your cooking/food here, ect ect? Then you end up with one nature channel, one food channel........?

Anything on youtube go's its their job to moderate, not mine.

Use youtube playlists to pool different videos. Only offering youtube type 1 and 2.

So this is working pretty well for me, but when watching a show for more than 10 minutes I can no longer change the channel or pull the the psuedotv guide. The video just plays in the regular xbmc player and to get back to the psuedotv guide I have to quit out and go back in.

Is there an option to not update the database or watch progress when using this?

Is there a way when using **tv or other similar plugins to not have to select where the media stream comes from when viewing? Like every time i go to something from one of those plugins it asks me what server i want to use.

How does it work when you link a channel to a plugin? Does it just link to whatever channel or series you've selected from that plugin or all the content it offers?

RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - Lunatixz - 2014-05-15

Please no mention of banned plugins... Also no logs = no solution, if you have an issue post detailed description of problem and your log.

sorry...my bad..i edited my post

Just wondering how it interfaces with plugins...or is there a page in this thread you could point me to that shows examples of how they work?

Do i have to be a contributor to read or view your google code page above? Or is that just if you want to add to it?

Post 2 has examples, you can also autotune which will build some example channels.

Almost everyone that uses PseudoTV Live at some point adds a plugin, youtube or rss channel... All I ask...join the community, add your configuration to one of the four community lists (addons, rss, youtube channels, youtube playlists).
The new "Community" autotune feature will build off those lists... regular contributors will be rewarded for there contributions.
