Sorry to post this in 2 different posts but I really need some help... thanks in advance.

Does anyone know why Pseudo TV does not play my MP4 files?... well some of them... I ripped some music files (MP4 high quality)

My files work ok from the "files" section.

but when I add to one channel the mp4 files the channel does not work... (also it doesn't appear on the channel list)

Thanks

PS my filenames have this character "_" could that be the issue (well I have other channels with "_" and work ok... so these files have another issue... the problem is that I don't get any message on the screen)

I have Frodo

All my episodes and movies have a duration of 1 hour in psuedotv live no matter what. I'm using GoMovies and GoTv which don't generate nfo's. I tried using tinyMediaManager to generate nfo's for all the movies in the directory they are in but the problem persists.

I use those plugins without a problem and have correct durations...

My tweak works fine, didn't say it would correct your problem! it helps avoid duration issues.

Perhaps you have hide short videos enabled? and have BCT's enabled?

PseudoTV Live doesn't make up strm durations... it either gets it from the nfo directly or by xbmc library if the media was scraped... if both fail then it creates a show with 3600 second duration.

If you have one of the two above enabled well that's why shows appear longer then they are... Its been mentioned a number of times that hide short videos... hides short videos (ie bcts). The hidden shows duration is filled with the previous show info (making it appear larger the it is).

Thanks for the reply I have both of the options turned off and tried a fresh install of psuedotv live to setup again. I grabbed this from the m3u files in the cache which seems to be showing the movies are set to 3600 duration:

#EXTINF:3600,Toy Story//The adventure takes off!//Woody the cowboy is young Andy’s favorite toy. Yet this changes when Andy get the new super toy Buzz Lightyear for his birthday. Now that Woody is no longer number one he plans his revenge on Buzz. smb://IAN-SERVER/XBMC/GoMovies/Toy Story (1995)/Toy Story (1995).strm

The Movies/Shows all have the correct run times in the xbmc library and I have added additional nfo;s using tiny media manager to the location of the strms. I'm using frodo 12.3 and mysql if that helps any?

If you can give me any pointers to debugging this and finding out where it's falling over would be greatly appreciated.

I'll make another small adjustment, but not sure why I'm not having this issue... My strms for that plugin have no nfo and are scraped...

Lunatixz, was wondering if you had anymore thought into the below. I see the option for hide short videos, but all i get is a bunch of dots in the EPG.

I've got a few youtube channels, but the EPG is too crammed for the channels.
Is there a way to make it so that the EPG simply says name of the channel instead of trying to fill in the EPG.
The EPG is unreadable for many of my youtube channels

I've debated how to handle short youtube videos, I hate having ... in the epg as wel.

I could add an option to hide all the ... (short videos) with the name of the channel, i'll look into it.

RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - ianuk2005 - 2014-05-19

Another quick question, I'm sure it's not possible atm but I have some playlists that have tons of episodes for one show and not as many for other shows. If I have it ordered random and set to only play a show one episode in a row i'd get for example show: ABACADABABDAC

so the epg is populated with a lot from show A and not many from show B,C or D.

If there a way to get it to go like show ABCDABCDABCD

There is already a rule for this...

I use Amber as my default skin. The problem i'm having is that when I launch PTVL and click Enter to bring up the EPG it comes up without any issues. The problem is that I can't bring up the EPG again. The next time when I try to bring up the EPG. All I get is XBMC's playback controls. This issues is seems to be only with the Amber skin since I decided to load up Confluence and the issue doesn't affect that skin.

You need to bring the issue up with the Amber creator...

Absolutely love, love, love the potential of this addon and appreciate all the amazing work you're putting into this!

Appreciate your thoughts on what might be causing this!

Full log would have been nice...

As requested:

Please note this is my most recent log. I was able to start up PseudoTV Live once, then it crashed. After that, it just stays on the Addons screen and after a few seconds it will crash. This is a full debug log after the crash happened. Thanks in advance!

RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - tromy - 2014-05-20

Live tv artwork question:
This is an example of a m3u live channel created from PLTV:no artwork

#EXTINF:3600,PERSON OF INTEREST//LiveTV//..plot......//Unknown//2014-05-21 21:00:00//NA|NA|NA|OLD,tvshow|
pvr://channels/tv/All TV channels/3.pvr

I can edit it and add the title of the show:

#EXTINF:3600,PERSON OF INTEREST//LiveTV//..plot.......//Unknown//2014-05-21 21:00:00//NA|PERSON OF INTEREST|NA|OLD,tvshow|
pvr://channels/tv/All TV channels/3.pvr

So I have downloaded an image, named it "PERSON OF INTEREST-landscape" and put it in cache/artwork folder. That thing works fine.
Is it possible to auto search in the cache/artwork folder and find the exact name and not do this manually?

If I have it ordered random and set to only play a show one episode in a row i'd get for example show: ABACADABABDAC

so the epg is populated with a lot from show A and not many from show B,C or D.

If there a way to get it to go like show ABCDABCDABCD

There is already a rule for this...

Can you give me some more details on what rule will do that? I have my playlists set to random and the channel rule to only show one episode in a row and it will still go for example show ABACAC and not show ABCABC
