What would the repercussions be if you moved your PTVL project to HUB or the other place that will not be named?

In all honestly as long as I don't outright add illegal sources to my plugin It should be okay to be on both forums.
All I've ever wanted from day one is to be part of the xbmc official repo, but the unclear piracy policy's are making development impossible...

I know the desire to be legit but sometimes working around restrictions and constraints can be maddening! I also understand XBMC position on pirating. If too many feathers are ruffled then XBMC would be toast. It can still survive but would have to go underground.

Officially H-U-B friendly take a look Smile

I guess like the last GIT update fixed everything lol! Nobody got any problems. Well, I can say USTVNow is fixed. Everything seems to be working well other than the known issues of EPG lags, freezes, crashes, and recovering from stream errors. Good job!

Edit: NVM...hehe! Should of checked.

What epg lags, freezes and crashes? Can you send me logs? Some lagging can't be avoided... you can try disabling art downloader or dynamic artwork, use media limit... if the lag is from Internet feeds tweak to improve latencies.

I don't have tvheadend so no way of debugging. Log didn't show anything that stands out...

I'd say more freezing than anything. I haven't had any crashes in past the 4-5 GIT updates. The freezing seems to appear once it gets to my music library. I have 4-5 channels of just sound samples and it seems to bog down whenever I surf past this portion of the EPG. It always gets included when I do the auto scan because it has its own folder and I never bother to exclude them. The samples can be anywhere from 10 seconds long to 5 minutes. I'll try to exclude these channels and see what happens.

Music Genres are barley finished... haven't touch the code in months.

Your post Bummed me out, made it sound like there's a lot of issues.

im not a happy camper, lol

There was mad praising at the start lol! That's why I got out of programming and into the medical field! Sorry man, I can picture you at the computer cussing at the computer looking at lines of code. That was me! I sucked at it and had an epiphany. BTW, EPG lag happens going through my music library. I'm an amateur DJ/Producer so I have every type of genre out there and each in their own folder. So I have about 30 channels of my library music. The EPG lags and then becomes unresponsive trekking through these channels.

so do you have any other recommendations for me how to troubleshoot it?
again, on frodo with the same settings its work (with the same EPG).
direct works (mode "9")
so its probably in the differences between the versions.

I can only help when you're running the latest code. If you have a problem, send me detailed info and a full debug log. Thanks

Also if channels that worked in 3.8 don't work in 3.9 wouldn't you want me to fix it? if left unfixed it will carry over to each version after it...

Does the music channels even work? last I tested them they generated the genre channels, but didn't fill them...

I'm working on an epg speed tweak for the next update... problem is when a channel has to many little videos or media... xbmc has to draw each box which can tax the system when added to all the other channels you have.

ok, you are right, let's do it step by step.

well, when switching from channel 1 to channel 2 (both includes media on my LAN and are DIRECTORY's type) i get black screen in latest version, in 0.3.8 it works fine,
maybe the problem is the hebrew in the path....
