Is their new dependencies with the last update? Be ause since ptvl update it does not work anymore...tried to reinstall everything from 1st post but no success...pseudotvlive.py error ...no funny stuff, just using my library for content with autotune...
Thanks for your time
Cheers

Bakito, in the first posts there are dependencies listed. I've installed all of them and everything works fine here.

Question about chtype 15 (parsing of plugins similair to xbmc.mylibrary). Can i use regexp or wildcards for certain characters?

I'm trying to use a plugin that has a bullet point in front of its directory. I've tried putting the directory with the bullet point and it does nothing. So I tried if maybe '.' was a wildcard, but unfortunatly no.

Works great for directories without special characters though! Great addition to PTVL! Really loving it Big Grin!

It's been a couple of months since i last had time for PTVL. Happy to see all the progress, especially like the extended youtube functions. Thank you for your great work and progress.

Unfortunatly i have an annoying bug to report which makes 24/7 internet streams unusable:

When I add 24/7 internet streams to PTVL (no EPG, just a stream, chtype 9), when i change the channel to such a channel in PTVL, PTVL will seek in the Live Stream. For example PTVL seeks 1:31 in to the future. Since this ofcourse doesn't exists since it's a live stream, the stream will just hang on 1 still image. I can still change channels and PTVL is still responding. When i change the channel a few times back and forward, the live stream will eventually work. So it's not that PTVL will seek in the live stream 100% of the time.

I've seen the same problem posted a few pages back, but i've not seen a solution. Is there a setting or something i'm missing? Or is this just something we will have to await an update for? Is it possible to code it that chtype 9 won't seek in the video when channel surfing?

Thank you for your hard work! About the user community list; when i have my configuration working, I'm surely willing to add it to the community list. I don't know if I can find time to test all links from the community lists and keep them up to date. But I'm willing to do what I can do to help out to make PTVL the true cable cutter Big Grin! Send you a PM with my email adress.

Sorry about that it's a known issue I've fixed a few times, but creeps back in their when I'm writing code... I know the issue and how to fix, so it will be taken care of by next update.
::Update::
Are you running the latest version? because the code looks like it's blocking all chtype 9 media from seeking...

Sorry No wild cards, it's "Like" mylibrary but the process is different.

If the plugin you want uses color codes you will have to add them to the string in-order to work, or one user uses super favorites to build all his channels which bypasses any color strings.

I noticed a couple days ago I was having trouble with auto tuning so I deleted 2 files in xbmc the ptvl in the user data folder and also the main file ptvl file in the addons folder redownloaded master fresh install and its been working really well all ustv channel have been working flawless. on my end don't know since I deleted those 2 files and installed the new master upgrade noproblem with ustv at all.

RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - azrael17 - 2014-09-09

Is there anyway to make a Youtube playlist appear as if it were a 24/7 stream?

That is, so instead of having a bunch of chopped up clip names or "Channel (stacked)" in the EPG It could just display as one long stream as "Classic Disney Cartoons".

I have a playlist made up of short clips, with long stupid names, and it would look a lot nicer just to have it as one longer stream.

Thanks.

EDIT: This is not a feature request as I realize that it is not likely a need for most people. I'm just wondering if there is anything already in the code that I missed that would make it possible.

How about we hold it up to a community vote, How many users would rather see the Channel Name in a long string in the EPG rather than (Stacked) appearing at the end?
End of the day, I'll tally...

Really, I like the clip names. I use a YouTube channel for documentaries and they are an hour or more. It helps to see what is "on"

we are talking about shows that fall below your set "hide short video" setting...
those shows get "stacked" added to the channel name.

That would probably be a good middle ground as the EPG doesn't display short clip names anyway.

Also, are the configurations restricted to four values? If not maybe there could be a manual setting something like:

<setting id="Channel_#_5" value="2" /> (With 1 being clip names and 2 being channel names displayed in the EPG)
<setting id="Channel_#_6" value="My Youtube Channel" /> (with this value left blank if value 1 above is selected)

(2014-09-09, 01:19)Lunatixz Wrote: I still see users using older versions of PseudoTV Live , if you are one of them could you give me insight on why?

Being off this week Ive had some extra time and have been testing 4.07, 4.08, and 4.09...After trying them on all three of my machines and with various different combinations of XBMC/PTVL skins I've gone back to 4.07 and I'll explain why...

The difference in overall speed and smoothness between 4.07 and the two newer versions is pretty huge. After a single running of the Artwork Spooler as you scroll through the EPG the dynamic artwork loads without any noticeable lag. I put a dummy landscape.jpg file under the dynamic artwork to test it and on 4.07 I would only see the landscape.jpg file for less than a second (if that).

With the exact same settings after a single running of Artwork Spooler, On 4.09 there is a pretty heavy lag for the Dynamic Artwork as you scroll through the EPG. That same Landscape.jpg file would be fully visible for 3-4 seconds and sometimes longer.

Similar lag situation with the info overlay as well.

On 4.07 tapping the "I" key would display/hide the overlay instantly.

On 4.09 tapping the "I" key displays the overlay instantly but it takes more than a few seconds for it to hide it again.

Other bugs I've noticed on 4.09 are Artwork Spooler seems to run almost constantly and despite creating a backup settings2 file i've noticed significantly more "no channels found" errors.

4.09 did upgrade the amount of art displayed since now interleaved youtube videos display art which is great and also the "Reset Every X Days" rule coming back is also great, but having said that, in my experience 4.07 runs so much smoother than 4.09, hope this doesn't sound negative though because Im sure once the bugs are ironed out in 4.10 that version will be great.

Luna, I'm experiencing the same issues with the lag on both the epg and the info screen. I used version 0.47 and 0.49. i skipped .048. The lag for me too is also occuring after the spooling is done. Sometimes, I don't receive the notice that the spooling is finished. If i do exit out of pstvl without seeing this notice. I've notice that when I try then to exit out of XBMC all together it will crash. Just like to add that I'm not using any plugins just my local files and my hdhomerun prime channels. I too don't want to sound negative and I didn't want to go back in versions, since .049 seems to parse the xmltv files for me a little faster. Thanks again for all that you do.

I've looked over the changes from v.0.4.7 and v.0.4.9 there aren't many changes handling artwork to slow it down... So I made some tweaks, but don't really see a difference.

When I push the changes later tonight, please test and let me know...

Ok gotcha. I guess I haven't run across this myself so I have no business voting. Carry on, nothing to see here.

I'm running 0.4.9

I can't get super favorites to work actually. Or should you only put single items and not folders in the super favorite you're scraping? Oh well, there is always the Mylibrary to folder -> Folder Channel way in PTVL I guess. So it's not a pressing issue anyhow.

Now and again my EPG won't show anything. When presented with an empty EPG, i can't escape it. The video still plays in the background, but pressing enter again to exit the EPG doesn't work, Escape to exit PTVL doesn't work. So i'm forced to task-kill XBMC with task manager. Screenshot:

Log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=289339
It's not always. When i only have 3 channels or so, I usually have an EPG, but when i add my channels back if you will, i most of the time get this blank EPG. Sometimes with the same configuration i don't get a blank EPG, so that what makes it very confusing to me.

Any thoughts?
