Sorry if this has been answered before or comes off as ignorant, but this is my first time installing PseudoTV.

I can't seem to get past the channel updating before it crashes on first launch. I chose 'Yes' when asked if I wanted to Autotune the channels. It got to around 106, then said 'complete' and then immediately crashes. I've tried reinstalling the addon, but no dice.

Any idea what I can do to resolve this?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm running the latest version of Gotham. 13.2.

Thanks!
Try this instead of just letting it auto tune on its own start over select default to reset ptvl then go to auto to setup manualy select RSS feeds all the youtube selections on auto tune. Start with those first don't choose none of
The other options yet, click OK go back out start PTVL . it should then start PTVL let it run. If it workes and it should,
Close down PTVL go back to into settings back to auto tune choose the
Same options you choose earlier except this time add another option also. Start PTVL again and do another run. The point I am getting to is to try manually
doing one option or two at a time so you could see what work's and doesn't work.
Trail and error, but its totally worth it. After that you'll start to get the hang of it
And get more advanced. The reason its the way it is is because the Dev constantly fixing code eliminating bugs, adding new features and improving addon. So it may be a while before its
a permanent setup so just go along for
The ride don't get frustrated. Just try to read the every post as much as possible
That way you could get familiar what the
Real bugs are and post those logs
I hope this helps somewhat.

I was wondering would it be possible to use multiple usernames for the Last.FM channel. Both my husband and I have accounts and it would be nice if we could get the video channel to show videos based on both our scrobbles.

Thank you Smile

I'm pretty sure multiple lastfm should work fine. It would require manual configuration.

Can confirm 2 max Last.fm work

Has something changed to "my music" tv channels,because PLTV seems to create empty m3u channels.(using version 0.5.1)

example with channel playing fine inside plugin,but PLTV returns no result...Sad
Code:
<channel>
<entry title="Spotify:100 Punk Rock songs" type="spotify:playlist" limit="100" value="spotify:5TuWj7WbayVcr6KbwJ5sBQ" />
</channel>

Thanks

If you could provide a log we can help. Otherwise please read the first three posts to see if there is something you may have missed.

Hey there,

Thanks a lot.

Here's a link to the log file. I did a fresh install of PseudoTV Live (Deleting all of the proper files as well), Restarted XBMC, turned on Debugging. Restarted XBMC, then I ran PseudoTV Live and chose to run Autotune. It then crashed as usual at 'Processing Rule 1'.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This addon looks great, if only I can get it to work.

Came here via Google while searching for the solution to something like this. What I don't understand is why I'm not seeing any issues with the earlier 5.0 version of the plugin. My debug log can be found here:

Code:
http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=311612

This is on my Macbook, not the desktop plugged into the TV which is currently having the library updated with fanart via the Toolbox script recommended in the first post. Going to try and revert to version 5.0, since it seems to work for me without hanging. Hope you can make some sense out of the log; based on previous issues I won't even speculate as to what the issue might be.

PS: Can anyone recommend a good cross platform XSPF playlist maker for use with My Music TV? I'd really like to use my local music videos instead of streaming to try and stay under the cap my ISP has imposed.

Sorry.

Basically I start the program, it begins building the channels only to seemingly hang on the creation of the first channel and its ten items. Waiting for it to continue doesn't do anything. Changing what I try to get in streams doesn't seem to help. It just hangs there on the creation of the first channel.

Edit - Thank you for the swift response. I appreciate it.

Why don't you debug the problem on your end, and narrow down what type of channel it hangs on? then give me information about that channel?

(2014-10-05, 22:42)Lunatixz Wrote: Why don't you debug the problem on your end, and narrow down what type of channel it hangs on? then give me information about that channel?

Because I'm not a programmer and the last time I tried I got yelled at because I didn't know what I was talking about. This is why I haven't been speculating.

The channel it's grinding and hanging on is a version of A&E:

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
<smartplaylist type="episodes">
    <name>A&amp;E</name>
    <match>one</match>
    <rule field="tvshow" operator="is">
        <value>Breakout Kings</value>
        <value>Kokoro Library</value>
        <value>Longmire</value>
        <value>Marmalade Boy</value>
    </rule>
    <limit>10</limit>
    <order direction="ascending">random</order>
</smartplaylist>

This gets created when I choose autotune and then after a bit everything stays hung until I give up and kill the app. The log is also full of references to plugins I do not have installed or use. What I don't understand is why using an earlier version of the plugin seems to work without issue on the same hardware, using the same media.

If there's something specific I can look for or test, please let me know. Otherwise I really don't know what to look for.

LOL, nobody is yelling, THIS IS YELLING... otherwise i'm just telling you like it is... I wouldn't hold my breath for me to insert a few "please's" and "would you's". We are all big boys here!

As for your problem, your log shows nothing... Create a single channel configuration with only the channel that is locking up... send me a debug log for that run, *COUGH* Please

AFAIK the only channel locking is A&E, but for all I know it completes A&E and locks before being able to create the next channel. I updated the program, had a few million downloads of XML updates (all 2mbs but over and over again) restarted the application and created only A&E in channel configuration. This is the log from that:

Code:
http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=311802

It was able to run though, so I'm not sure what was the difference factor. Lack of BCTs? I hope the log above actual contains useful information.

UPDATE: Proactively created the next channel (assuming channels are created in alphabetical order; was created without issue.

UPDATE II: Did some more fiddling and was successful in enabling autotune, so long as I did not have any BCTs enabled. On the Macbook all my BCTs were set to come from the internet, on the desktop connected to my TV I had a small local collection of bumpers and commercials only using the internet for trailers...

UPDATE III (Electric Boogaloo): Managed to find my back up of the local archive I have of commericials and bumpers. Tried it and my issue of locking while trying to create the first channel is gone. Have no idea why using Internet BCTs would cause trouble, but it does seem to be the source of my troubles. Sorry for having wasted your time. (Unless it turns out this is something effecting others too?)

?? BCT's ?? I don't see any bct issues on your log?

What Version number are you currently running? please update to the latest development branch. FYI all bct's from internet work fine!

AFAIK I was running v5.1; have since updated to the development version (changed setting under Misc to autoupdate to dev branch; restarted XBMC) and while the version number doesn't seem to have changed the changelog is different so am under the belief that I have development branch in stalled currently.

I changed the BCT settings to use internet commercials and bumpers, then reset autotune. Result everything loaded appropriately. When I added the trailers using the Internet source, then autotuned XBMC exhibited the previous behavior of locking while creating the first channel. I forced the application to close, then tried again using youtube as a source for trailers and autotuned. Again the lock on creating the first channel.

Disabling trailers caused everything to work again.

PS: From previous post which I added to because I didn't refresh and see that you had replied:

What are your trailer internet settings, i'm also assuming you are a donor since this is a donor exclusive feature...
