Audio CD Ripping and ID Look-up issues (OS X) - capfuturo - 2013-08-05 Good Morning, Ripping CDs with XBMC in OS X presents following issues: 1) XBMC fails to recognise and display the optical source for manual (not auto) playback/ripping purposes. The CDDA source MUST then be added manually with path: cdda://local/cdda . This issue has been around for years, and I am wondering whether this is a core or skin-generated issue (Aeon)? 2) XBMC runs an ID look-up at freedb.org right before it starts ripping a Audio CD. If the wrong album is selected by the user amongst the results given by the ID Look-up, then the ripping process needs to be stopped and reinstated. XBMC will not show again options for the possible albums if a new rip command is triggered and will just by-pass the ID Look-up instead. Apparently XBMC doesn't delete the ID that has been cached. This needs a fix since the user must be able to select the right album in case of wrong selection on first ripping attempt. Find log here, line 327. Best wishes, CF |
