keep in mind that there might also be quite bright fanart/pictures which would make the text unreadable. We can't do dropshadows on text, can we?

@da-anda dropshadows are totally possible on label controls with <shadowcolor>. Even if there wasnt you could just use a duplicate label behind the main label offset by
a few pixels and in a darker colour. Though I personally think drop shadows on text is a bit dated looking.

Very nice work so far butchabay.
Regarding the now playing "'issue", this is how i would do it :
One dark overlay behind the white text (title of the movie), and a second one (darker) showing the current position of the movie.
Just a suggestion, feel free to ignore it

Speaking of shadows and such, il would also loose de tiny ones behind the controls. Would be more consistent with the rest of the skin also. Just my 0,002 cts (again)

Looks really great. My only reservation is the full zoom on the selected item. Maybe a slight zoom outwards to denote the active item. I find the full zoom a little distracting.

I know that, though most not-yet-finished skins still provide some form of preview for those who want to try it out.
