I am trying to get the latest movie widget to only show movies that were added to a particular folder. For example I have created classic movies smart playlist and added it to the menu bar and I am trying to create a latest movie widget to only show movies that were added to the classic movies folder. Is this Possible?

Select the smart playlist as the widget.

smart playlist is not an option for a widget

You have to build a custom menu Classic and then, you will be able to attach a widget to this menu and display only Last added entries.
I'm doing the same for my 3 customs menus based on smart playlist : Parents movies, Children movies, Animated.

hi, I have created a custom smart playlist for kids movies and added latest as a submenu item. Is their any way I can get the submenu item to only show movies added to the kids movies folder. I tried adding a predefined function, but it display all the lastest movies added.

You need to make another smart playlist. Like say, all movies from folder "kids" and then just sort by date added and limit it to 10(or 20, 30, 50, etc).
