Quicker way to wipe MySQL music database - doveman2 - 2013-08-15 I'm using a MySQL database and was trying to update my music library but it kept hanging at a particular artist judging by the OSD. From the logs I can see a lot of "Failed to open" errors and I have rearranged a lot of the folders recently Code: 11:16:30 T:6724 ERROR: Failed to open(//Music/Music (Tagged)/Hip Hop/Young MC - Stone Cold Rhymin' (1989)/) opendir call failed with "NFS: Lookup of //Music failed with NFS3ERR_NOENT(-2)" so I thought I'd just remove the source and re-add it, which would probably be quicker than cleaning it but since doing that, XBMC has been greyed out and says "Not Responding" and Mysqld.exe has been pegged at 22-25%. Perhaps it will complete soon but it's been going for about 5mins already and I wouldn't think it should take that long to remove a source (if I was using normal XBMC databases I would have just deleted the file, which would have taken seconds), so I'm just wondering if there's a quicker way to clear a source from a Mysql database? RE: Quicker way to wipe MySQL music database - Milhouse - 2013-08-15 Quickest way is to drop the database using a MySQL management tool. RE: Quicker way to wipe MySQL music database - doveman2 - 2013-08-15 OK, that will obviously lose the Movies and TV Shows as well though. I've currently gone back to a normal XBMC database and am scanning the music into a clean database but it seems to be having some problems with that as well. There were a number (maybe 20) of these "Could not find" errors but they dont' seem to be an issue. Strangely, whenever XBMC seems to have got stuck, as it has at the moment, it's showing it's got to Sinead O' Connor (Well I can only see Sinea but I don't think I have anything else it could be!) RE: Quicker way to wipe MySQL music database - Milhouse - 2013-08-15 You have two databases, MyMusic and MyVideo so in your case you'd just drop the music database and leave your video database alone. Just looking at your logs, that's some pretty insane rate limiting you've got going on there... just wondering if your NFS connection isn't getting hosed, is it any better with an OS mount? Ah I see, thanks. This is with XBMC running on the same PC as the NFS server (Hanewin) so I could point directly to the folder, or share it as an SMB but I need to use NFS for the XBMC so that's what I need to concentrate on getting working reliably. In that case it certainly looks like NFS isn't working too well... I know nothing about Hanewin so can't give any advice there. RE: Quicker way to wipe MySQL music database - doveman2 - 2013-08-15 OK, it's something for another thread anyway. |
