Internal Blu-ray drive not recognised by XBMC - dollso - 2013-08-16 Hi, hopefully someone can help me out here, i have successfully setup XBMC on my second HTPC and i'm now trying to setup my main HTPC, but after installing XBMC it can't see my Blu-ray drive, i only have one optical drive on the system and that is my LG GGC-H20L HD-DVD/Blu-ray combo drive, it is set as Drive D:\ and is recognised and fully functional within Windows. My windows SSD drive is set to C and the rest of my hard drives are set to E,F and G, with an external hard drive set to H. XBMC can see all those drives. Operating System: Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64bit Motherboard: Gigabyte G33M-DS2R CPU: Intel Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz 8GB physical Ram Video: ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB Connected to my receiver via HDMI for sound and Video. Everything worked fine before with TotalMedia Theatre 6, which i uninstalled before installing XBMC. All my drivers are up to date, windows has been updated and i'm using the latest build downloaded from XBMC. Should XBMC not just recognize the drive automatically or is there something i'm missing? Cheers, Gerry. RE: Internal Blu-ray drive not recognised by XBMC - dollso - 2013-08-16 Scratch that, after going to make a cup of tea and coming back XBMC has decided it does want to play with my drive, have no idea what happened, but it fixed itself! RE: Internal Blu-ray drive not recognised by XBMC - baijuxavior - 2013-08-16 XBMC will recognize the optical drive once you insert a disk. |
