RE: BETA Ember 1.4 - 20131122 - T-bird_se - 2013-12-30

It's most useful now when beta testing
I always run beta against a small test library and constantly removes artwork and nfos, you have to hit reload or F5 to tell Ember that there is no more info and delete it from DB.
That is fine for movies but for shows you get the described bug

The other scenario is if you edit an nfo manually in an text editor, after that just hit F5 and Ember reread it and import it to DB

The expected is that shows works the same as movies
Hitting F5 on:
show name = the show itself and all seasons and all episodes are reread
season name = all episodes for that season is reread
episode name = only that episode is reread

I have just started playing around with this version. Just a quick question. Will we always have to get our own API keys for the scrapers ? If so I will go and apply for them otherwise I might wait for a while longer.

Just as an FYI, when it fails it replaces it with a value of 0. Just something to look out for.

If I enable meta data scraping in settings I get the same error for aspect ratios

A new one

The swedish text can be translated to something like "Can't get a removed object", guess the last line explains why it happends

RE: BETA Ember 1.4 - 20131122 - Hairy Hippy - 2014-01-05

Seems in version: Ember Media Manager 1.4 - 20131227 runtime is 60 mins for every film.

edit: or rounding to the nearest hour. e.g. if less than 90, it states 60, greater than 90, it states 120.

before it used to be just:

What is the purpose of "TMDB="TMDB no."? Sometimes it's just TMDB="" and no number.

By doing this for those that then use Media Center Master, it stops recognising the detail in the nfo such as metadata and certification. If there is a valid reason for doing this in Ember, I will put in a request in the Media Center Master forums to change their end.

Sorry to bring this up again but if I have the TMDB disabled as a data scraper (enabled for images), why does Ember still put the TMDB movie id in the nfo. I'd have thought that with only imdb selected the only data written to the nfo was from imdb and from no where else.

As for Media Center Master, the author of that software admits that it should cope with this in the xml and will look into but not high priority.

RE: BETA Ember 1.4 - 20131122 - RKMFlorida - 2014-01-05

When I scrape with the new beta version or the release version, both of them give me the same error, somewhat consistently (about 60% of the time):

EmberAPI.Scanner,EmberAPI.ErrorLogger.Error,18,ERROR,Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at EmberAPI.Scanner.GetMovieFolderContents(MovieContainer& Movie) in C:\Users\Massimo\Documents\GitHub\Ember-MM-Newscraper\EmberAPI\clsAPIScanner.vb:line 649

I don't know why others have not reported this, it's extremely common and I've tested on three different systems. For good measure, one test was a fresh install of Win-8 with absolutely nothing on it.

The only thing I can imagine, is that I some how use Ember differently than the norm. I only scrape movies; I keep all of my movies in a single directory; I scan only that directory. For this reason my Movies > Files and Sources: Recursive: No, Use Folder Name: No, Single Video: No.

Under "File Naming" I'm using only Frodo options:
Use, NFO, Poster, Fanart, Trailer, Actor Thumbs.

I have a TMDB API key, so I've tested both with and without TMDB. I've tested with IMDB alone, TMDB/IMDB combo, and TMDB alone. I get the problem in every case.

Thank you in advance,
RKM

Dan, Cocotus, Msavazi, is there a reason for some module being marked as 32-bit assemblies only, while other assemblies are any-CPU (64-bit friendly)?

Any objection to investigating changing all assemblies to Any-CPU?

Can't reproduce that, tested against both TMDB and IMDB and always get correct runtimes, on IMDB even the result for extended, directors cut versions

no objection from me.

it is 32bit for historical reasons, original project was 32bit only, please remember we use some external libraries...

(2013-12-30, 13:50)T-bird_se Wrote: Am I the only one suffering the rating error?
If so that make me think if it's an national setting in OS for handle numbers, I'm a swed and we have , (comma) as decimal separator and not . (dot)
The rating number is stored in a text field in DB with dot valus, so it must be converted to number somewhere to calculate the stars.

Has it been any changes in that area for this version as I never had any problem in any of previous versions of Ember?

I just committed the fix for this, and am awaiting Dan to merge it back in. Once it is merged and a new release is made, I'll let you know so you can re-test.
